Hotel Green Park Chitwan in Sauraha is ideal for visitors looking for a luxurious accommodation away from the city center and close to the jungle sanctuary. The clean, contemporary design and décor give add to the resort’s special charm, and my honest first impression was that staying here should cost more than it actually does. The affordable room rates combined with the provided facilities and the amazingly helpful staff are Green Park’s strongest suits. Palms and tropical greenery spread across the resort and the front side is covered with beautiful green vines and has its own small library. I stayed here in August 2018 and decided to write this Green Park Chitwan review.

Location 4/5
This 4-star hotel is located at the tip of Sauraha, one kilometer away from the elephant breeding center and completely surrounded by idyllic rice fields and mountain views. Normally, when hotels are located on the outskirts this can cause some inconvenience but that’s not the case here. This is mainly because the main tourist attraction in Sauraha is the Chitwan National Park and Green Park happens to be located right next to it.
Additionally, if you need to go to the city to buy something/withdraw money or just sightseeing, the hotel also has their own vehicles reserved for guests. If you’re like me and want to get disconnected from the urban chaos and have some luxury while completely surrounded by nature, Hotel Green Park Chitwan is the right place for you.
Interior And Design 5/5
As you enter Green Park you definitely won’t miss the giant-size Ganesh statue saying “Namaste”. If you turn back you’ll see the tiger statue marking the entry of Tiger Point. And at the front, you will see friendly host waiting for you with a refreshing brewery.
This is the first clue that shows this resort is a place where tradition meets the modern and where culture meets class. Staying in the cozy, modern rooms of Green Park feels like 9th heaven. All the walls are embellished with red clay from the soil of Baghmara and there are bamboo decorations everywhere, including the toilet.
The resort has a beautiful green garden where you can see exotic birds on the way to the restaurant. The pool is also very spacious and it’s completely surrounded by greenery and rice fields. Finally, when you get to the balcony you can enjoy the view of the garden and the surrounding mountains from the comfort of your rocking chair. Every balcony has a pair and they are extremely comfortable.
Rooms 5/5
Hotel Green Park Chitwan has three types of rooms: single, double, and a honeymoon suite. All rooms in the hotel are tastefully furnished and comfortable. The bathroom is modern and looks very appealing with the big rain-shower. All rooms are equipped with a 32-inch LED TV with cable channels, premium beddings, and a kitchenette.
Every room has a minibar with surprisingly affordable prices. One big bear costs around $3.5 and a small whiskey costs around $7. The resort is made of 32 villas that accommodate the guest rooms. The resort also has a huge, beautifully decorated garden with a lot of trees and colorful bushes.
However, my favorite part was the balcony. It was a great place to have my morning coffee, enjoy the surrounding greenery, and listen to the birds singing. It felt like a paradise.

Dining 5/5
The resort also has a buffet restaurant, which was one of the best I ever found in Nepal. They serve a variety of delicious Continental and Asian dishes. If you booked the honeymoon suite, you also get three meals a day and if you don’t you have to pay extra. The breakfast costs $12, the lunch $18, and the dinner $20 per person. The resort also has its own affordable bar in addition to the onsite restaurant. One small drawback would be that if you don’t want to eat here, there aren’t any other options around.

Staff 5/5
The staff just makes this 4-star resort even better and that’s not an exaggeration. We have been treated like royalty from the second we set a foot on the premise. The staff was always there to answer all of my questions. They helped us organize our activities while staying in Sauraha and unlike most hotels, didn’t charge a big commission for it.
I also had a problem with my card and couldn’t complete the payment for the safari but they managed to prolong the deadline only for me, even though the payments were only accepted before 3 PM. I normally don’t say this when it comes to hotels but this is certainly a place I would love to come back to.
We were warmly welcomed by everyone including the managers. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant proved to be very flexible and the restaurant supervisor also deserves a special thank you.
Green Park Chitwan Review Of Service & Facilities 5/5
All guests have access to Wi-Fi in their rooms and in common areas. There are some interruptions in the signal but that’s understandable considering the location. Free parking is allowed, an airport shuttle is available for guests 24 hours a day.
The front desk staff is there to answer all of your questions and concerns 24/7 and assist you with tours and ticket bookings. The resort also has 3 meeting rooms for guests traveling for business, a conference center, and a business center. It’s also a kid-friendly place so you don’t have to worry about it even if you are traveling with children.
Green Park Chitwan also has a fashioned, modern Bar, made of Bamboo, serving you Booze! Finally, the onsite pool that’s really well maintained and cleaned daily. There’s no lifeguard but the pool isn’t too deep and there’s a separate pool for children.
Price 5/5
Last but not least, we conclude this Green Park Chitwan review with the price. It’s a very reasonably priced for a luxury hotel. The price for a single room is $120 per night. A double room costs $140 per night and the Honeymoon suite costs $180. An extra bed can be arranged in any room for an extra $40.
Overall, Green Park Chitwan is a great place to stay during your Sauraha visit. It’s a luxury accommodation where tradition meets modern ways and where you can completely relax and enjoy nature. It’s one of the best places I ever stayed in and Passport Symphony recommends it to all travelers visiting the Chitwan National Park.

Great hotel! Location and architecture wise. I like the fact that it looks warm, something that luxury hotels are not famous for.
