With a territory of 28,748 square kilometers, Albania is the 36th largest country in Europe. It is a country in Southeast Europe on the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. Most of its territory is covered in mountains and lakes, including The Lake of Shkodër which is the largest lake in Southern Europe and located in northwest.

Climate

Albania’s climate is Mediterranean and continental with four different seasons. The winters (November- February) regularly have temperatures below 0 while the summers are quite hot with the average temperature ranging between 22°C and 30 °C.
