Partizan (Daljan)
Located on the east side of Lake Ohrid, Partizan Beach is an ideal getaway at the outskirts of Ohrid that combines pebbly beaches with grassy picnic spots. Drive approximately 5 km south of the town centre of Ohrid along the road bordering the lake, or catch a local bus towards St. Stefan and get off at the fringes of the military base, commonly known by locals as the Partizan station.
The beach is enclosed by green hills, doesn’t have any bars or restaurants around, it seems a bit wild and remote, and it certainly isn’t one of the most beautiful beaches in Ohrid, but it’s a perfect spot to visit if you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere.
Plaza (near the river Susica)
This Plaza Beach is a hidden beach located between Ohrid and Struga, just a few minutes from the turnoff on the roundabout between the two cities. It’s one of the most peaceful beaches in the area because it can’t be reached by bus, and it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere. There are no cafes, no bars, and not a lot of people around. What’s unusual about the beach is the slightly sandy areas (most of the beaches in Ohrid usually feature pebbles).
Take a dip in the crystalline-clear waters at the point where the river and lake merge, or sit on the loungers and savor cheap grilled fish sold by the nearby vendors. It is especially spectacular during dusk when the soothing sound of the river is the added accompaniment to the magnificent mountain scene.
Andon Dukov
Ohrid is home to some beautiful wild beaches. Andon Dukov Beach offers a peaceful, untouched vibe with clear water and few crowds. It’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Debarca Beach, on the other hand, has a more rugged feel, surrounded by dense greenery and quiet waters. Both beaches provide a more private, nature-filled escape away from the busier areas of Ohrid.
Labino Beach
Labino Beach is located under the cliffs of the Old Town of Ohrid, and, with its isolated pebbly cove and turquoise waters that beckon long swims, it is quite charming. Get to it: You need to descend the stairs and walk for about 15 minutes out of the town port, along the cliffside path in the Old City Park.
It is surrounded by prehistoric paths to the viewpoints and nearby, the famous Church of St. John at Kaneo, which is one of Ohrid’s oldest monuments. The facilities at the beach are few, and it is best to bring your own picnic, but the water quality is excellent, and the feel of the place is serene, and it is one of the best places in Ohrid for a sunset dip.
Kaneo
Located beneath the previously mentioned Church of St. John in the Old Town, not far from Labino, this tiny, hidden rocky beach in Ohrid presents some of the finest panoramic views of Ohrid, so pretty that they seem to be right out of a postcard. Get to it through a fast 10-minute stroll around the center of town on the boardwalk, past quaint restaurants on the way.
The locality is also bustling with the local restaurants that are selling fresh lake trouts and the beach has a special charm because it has a distinct swimming pool in beautiful and clean waters where one can spend an entire day tanning on the rented sunbeds.

Potpesh
Located at the far end of the picturesque boardwalk in Ohrid, right next to Kaneo Beach, Potpesh is a narrow pebble strip that offers a small, intimate atmosphere, and it’s one of the rare places where camping is allowed on the beaches in Ohrid. To arrive there, take a 5-minute walk out of the old town promenade across the water on pieces of wood to make it an adventure.
During weekends, the place is buzzing with life, and locals and tourists blend together under umbrellas, taking low-cost cocktails. Lounge chairs on rent and a closeness to cultural places like St. Sophia Church and the ancient amphitheater are just a couple of places that you’ll pass on the way to the beach, making the experience even more memorable.
Saraishte
Saraishte Beach is just in the centre of the promenade of Ohrid, where half rocky shores meet half concrete to create a special urban lake experience which is easy to reach. Just take a walk through the town harbor, on the boardwalk, keep walking, and you’ll see a small tunnel-like passage on the left side that leads to the beach. It has a collection of parks and cafes nearby, which make it an excellent people-watching spot, but it is particularly beautiful in the early evening when families go out to enjoy casual swims.
What is unique about it is the place to have drinks at sunset, which has mossy steps leading to cool waters. This is the place that embodies the colorful soul of Ohrid, where the silence of the lake mixes with the noise of everyday life.
Cuba Libre
With its party-like atmosphere at the beach bar and pebble beach, Cuba Libre Beach is the place to bring out the tropical touch to the shores of Lake Ohrid, approximately 4 km east of the town. Ride or ride along the lake, or take a taxi and go for a short ride-it’s close to Voena Plazha, so easy to jump around. There are reeds and the scenery of terracotta-roofed Ohrid in the water, which also gives it a picturesque touch. In particular, it is famous for its shaded trees that are ideal to rest, and the spectacular view of the town makes the photos memorable.

Overlooking the golden shades of Lake Ohrid, Park Beach has a relevant modern and large pebble space with the ambiance of a resort. The beach lies approximately 3 km off the city centre of Ohrid, and it can be reached either by bus or on a pleasant walk along the shore road. The park-like environment has sun terraces and outdoor seats, combining beach time and green areas where one can have picnics.
It also has a distinct attraction of beautiful sights on top-level points, accompanied by some facilities such as a pool and hiking tracks leading to the mountain village of Velestovo, thus frequently attracting trekking enthusiasts. Use the loungers to relax and enjoy local cuisines in the restaurant on-site, or enjoy non-water sports such as tennis (there’s a tennis court on the beach).
Voena Plazha
Voena Plazha, as it is currently called, is a grassy field that borders the former military camp, and is a place to spend the day in complete peace, as it is a combination of both beautiful, calm waters and stony entrances. You can get there on foot in about 15 minutes from the city center by following the promenade and crossing a bridge to the peaceful refuge of the South of Ohrid.
It is bordered by hills and a few commercial places, which give it a special silence, with no loud music or crowd, and it is possible to lounge on a towel in peace without paying for a sunbed. The water begins to be rocky but gets muddy as you go deeper, which is not ideal, but at least the atmosphere is peaceful. What makes it better is the wide scenery over the lake, and it would be the first choice amongst those who want to enjoy pure nature and escape the tourist rush.
Zlaten Breg
The beautiful beach called Zlaten Breg Park is located along the calm shores of Lake Ohrid, and it offers a lot of areas to spend lazy days. It is located in the southern part of Ohrid and is accessed either by a 10-minute drive from the city. The park environment is equipped with shade walkways and benches, which make the perfect combination of coastal recreation and light walks.
In particular, its serene ambiance and crystal clear waters make it a secret spot for snorkeling or reading in trees. Facilities are not much, and so bring necessities, but the beauty of nature, the verdant hills, and the mountains in the distance make it all.
Gorica Beach
Silent and welcoming, Gorica Beach is located in high rocks in the Riviera of Ohrid and is a quiet place to stay with a beautiful grass field surrounding the beach and the resort complex. Drive 4km south of Ohrid or take a minibus along the St.Naum route, which is divided into sections, and get off at the first station outside of the city.
There are bars nearby where soft music is pumped, but the shade and the outlook on the whole coast are the true attractions. This place is a place of leisure and tranquility as the sparkle of the lake comes into contact with the natural beauty of Macedonia.
Nemo
Long and relaxed, Nemo Beach, located at the bottom of Sveti Stefan, offers clear shallow waters, with restaurants to spend the entire day. It is south of Golden Beach, reached either by means of a 40-minute walk out of Ohrid or by a short taxi drive.
The environment is full of beachfront hotels and bars, which makes the environment rather vibrant and casual. Water is crystal clear, wading-perfect, and the atmosphere becomes photogenic in golden tones during the sunset.
Slavija
Slavija Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Ohrid, which is clean with arranged pebble beaches, approximately 5 km away from the city center. Convenient access, frequent minibuses make it easy to get to the lake road by bus or by driving. It is surrounded by comforts such as sports fields and pools of the neighboring hotels, with the best part being the 75-meter toboggan that will have the kids running up and down the facility.
The beach also has loungers, music bars, and a dynamic vibe without being too loud, which makes it a nice choice for families. Take a swim in clear waters, and after that have a drink under umbrellas, enjoying the lake views.
Granit
Part of Hotel Granit, it is a beach in the southern part of Ohrid that has a gym-oriented atmosphere with the pools and access to the lake. It is 15 minutes by car to Nemo Beach off the St. Stefan bus. The space has contemporary rooms that have a view and local fitness facilities, where there is a mix of relaxation and activity. It has one of the seasonal outdoor swimming pools on its side and a private parking. The beaches are pebbly and the waters welcoming, and ideal to take bath or relaxing.
Metropol
This beach is a part of the Metropol complex, which is located 8 km above Ohrid and has modern comforts and lake-view rooms. Board a minibus to St.Naum on a hassle-free ride. Ljubanista
Ljubanista Beach is a kid-friendly, sandy, shallow beach, without loud music and parties, and one of the best kid-friendly beaches in Ohrid. Drive 30km south of Ohrid, pay the entry fee, or walk the local trails. The environment has green hills and bars, which are available to everyone. It is best characterized by having sand that is rare, ideal for playing and wading in.

St. Naum
