The Northern Lights is high on my list of things to do. Lapland looks the perfect place to view them from. Maybe I could also visit Lofoten. I am not usually one who enjoys travelling in winter but this list has got me thinking.

Switzerland looks beautiful… but living in New England, I find myself avoiding most winters as best as I kind and to find warmer climates. I wonder if those destinations are also equally beautiful during the summer? Would love to see some photos once everything thaws out.

To be honest I dont like to visit cities during winter. I was in Prague for one winter and didn’t like it, cold, ugly, crowded. However, I would definately go to the mountains during winter season, where the snow is on the trees it loooks magical. From your list, I would pick Bled in Slovenia at the first shot.

Indeed, mountains are always the go-to-choice in winter for me too but I really liked Prague during this time of the year 🙂

I’m sad to write I’ve not been to any of these places, yet! Lofoten in Norway looks incredible, and I’d love to experience winter there. It’s nice to see Lake Bled there, as I always thought it was more of a spring/summer destination. Hope I get to visit this year!

Slovenia is one of the countries on this list that I’m so desperate to visit. Lake Bled is definitely on my itinerary. I love that you included both natural and city getaways in this guide. The winter snow shouldn’t discourage anymore from visiting these beautiful countries.

You’ve highlighted five amazing places! I’ve only visited one (Prague) but I did visit Norway in winter. Oslo was fantastic and your picture of Lofoten looks equally stunning. I think I need to visit!

Loved the list. I have two places in mind for this year, and that’s Lapland in Finland and Lofofen in Norway, in December though. But yes, it will be chilling cold then. I will surely prepare myself with the right kind of clothing with warmers. The beauty is just so differently incredible in the wintertime, and is highly evident from the pictures you have added in your blog post.

I have never been to Europe before and my to-do list to visit places there is increasing day by day. Prague looks like a fairytale land to me and I would definitely love to see it in winters. This is an amazing list. I would try covering all these places in Winter season.

Wow this is a fantastic post! Lapland, Engelberg , Prague – which one should I leave out! I want to see all of them! Bled in Slovenia is indeed on the top of my list, although I wouldn’t like to miss norway for the northern lights in winter. So yes, your post just popped up new dilemmas for me
