Cinque Terre, Italy 

Wherever you go in Italy, you can never go wrong. You’re bound to enjoy delicious food, rich culture, beautiful scenery, and insightful history. Rivaling the Amalfi Coast as one of Europe’s best vacation places, the coast of Cinque Terre is five UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It’s home to gorgeous villages, stunning coastal scenery, and an abundance of activities. Swim along the coastline, take a boat ride or even hike the winding paths that lead to steep cliffs. You can also sample some of the best seafood delicacies there is, walk through the markets and villages, and catch idyllic sunset views from the coast.

You can take the scenic Lake Tahoe drive, swim, go hiking, kayaking, windsurfing, paddleboarding, or just rest along the shore.

It’s also an ideal place if you’re the kind of traveler looking to be transported through time to a world of ancient history and culture. The architecture remains a mystery to this day, and it symbolizes the meticulous technique and productivity of the Inca Empire. While you’re there, if you want to thick another place off your bucket list, you should also visit the highest town in the world– La Rinconada (5,100 meters).

The cliffs are picturesque, and it’s an excellent place for hiking as you make your way through ancient ruins. You can even camp out at night beneath the stars.

Reykjavik, Iceland is definitely on top of our bucket list. We love to experince the Northern Lights and planning to go next year.

Anyway, I really love your recommendations. So far we were able to visit 2 - Queenstown and Lake Tahoe. We hope to get the opportunity to visit Peru too.

Machu Picchu is definitely on my list, and I like the idea of taking a hike around. It seems like the best way to see it and learn a bit about the people, too. I have also always wanted to see the bluish waters of Lake Tahoe. Hopefully some day! :)

Awesome list! Just got back from Cinque Terre and it was really beautiful. Awesome place, though maybe a bit too crowded in September. I'd be interested to go back in Oct/Nov and see how it's different. And can't wait to get to Petra one of these days!
