Geography

With a territory of 29,743 square kilometers, Armenia is the 142nd largest country in the world. Armenia is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region, that is located in the Southern Caucasus Mountains and their lowlands between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea, and northeast of the Armenian Highlands. Armenia also borders Georgia on the north, Azerbaijan on the east, Nagorno-Karabagh on the southwest, Iran on the south and Turkey on the west.

Climate

Armenia climate is highly continental with four different seasons. The winters quite cold with plenty of snow with temperatures between −10 and −5 °C while the Summers are hot, dry and sunny, lasting from June to mid-September with the average temperature ranging between 22 and 36 °C.
