UAE is home to 9 million people. Around 12% of the total population consists of  Emirati Arab while 59% are South Asian with 38% being Indian, 18% Pakistani & Bangladeshi. Other minorities are Egyptian, Filipino and others.

Geography

With a territory of 83,600 square kilometers, UAE is the 116th largest country in world. The United Arab Emirates is situated in Middle East ( West Asia), it borders the northeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Arabian Gulf, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south and west, as well as sharing maritime borders with Qatar to the west and Iran to the north.

Climate

The UAE has a desert climate with two different seasons. Summer and winter, summer in Dubai begins between (April -October) with hot weather, warm winds and high humidity summer while winter begins between (November – March) and has pleasant and mild winter.

Economy & Budget

The UAE has a mixed free-market economy with being the 2nd largest in the middle east. Backpackers can survive with around $50-60 per day, while mid-range travelers spend between $80 and $100 per day on average.
